Harison Chocolates set for global travel retail launch in Dubai this month

Harison UK Ltd has announced that the global launch of Harison Chocolates will be held on 26 September at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Harison Chocolates are developed exclusively for the duty free industry, based on extensive research into travellers' purchasing traits and the concept of offering top quality products at value-for-money prices. The company has been working with European chocolate manufacturers to develop special recipes for the new brand which will offer products from several countries including Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. The brand is set to introduce some of its products in the popular gifting and sharing formats. The Harison brand stands for quality and specialty and aims to offer customers “great products and great value”, the company said. As reported, the company recently appointed Sweet Garden Travel Retail to distribute its products in the travel retail channel. Sweet Garden is one of the largest distributors of confectionery products in the UAE and Oman, serving different segments in the UAE, Oman, and Middle East and South Asia markets. It is the sole distributor of brands such as Arcor, Creamline, Elvan, Harrison, Lotte, Lutti, Nestlé, Orion, Perfetti Van Melle, Ulker, Walkers, and Witor’s, representing many of these brands in the travel industry as an exclusive marketing partner.

Harison UK has appointed Sweet Garden Travel Retail as global travel retail partner for its Harison brand of chocolates. The brand will be launched exclusively in duty free, with the global premiere taking place in Dubai later this month. Harison has been working with European chocolate manufacturers to develop special recipes for the new brand which will offer products from several countries including Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. Sweet Garden LLC establishes subsidiary dedicated to travel retail

Shibu Thomas will lead Sweet Garden Travel Retail as Managing Director Dubai-based Sweet Garden LLC, a group company of Aal Mir Holding, has announced the bifurcation of its duty free business into the newly created Sweet Garden Travel Retail FZCo. Sweet Garden is one of the largest distributors of confectionery products in the UAE and Oman and the sole distributor of brands such as Arcor, Creamline, Elvan, Harrison, Lotte, Lutti, Nestlé, Orion, Perfetti Van Melle, Solen, Ulker, Walkers, and Witor’s. It serves different segments in the UAE, Oman as well as the Middle East and South Asia markets. “Sweet Garden Travel Retail, the supply chain partner of many global FMCG brands and duty free operators and a supplier to more than 20 airports in the region, is now poised to expand its operations globally,” said Managing Director Shibu Thomas, a duty free industry veteran with over 18 years of experience.
